Regular Student Engagement on Science Examination Questions
(On Assessment)
1. To help students be familiar with the typical assessment tasks, including content-skill criteria, and appropriate
responses expected in a general public examination setting.
2. To extend and deepen student understanding and application competencies in the various assessment tasks.
3. To use these assessment tasks as source to broaden their ideas for the purpose of developing an innovative mindset.
1. Exposure to a variety of typical and challenging assessment tasks in the general public and school examinations
(e.g. PSLE and GCE examinations, discussions of responses guided by the facilitator)
2. Ability to transfer learning from one context (given typical assessment task) to a more engaging context (e.g. a re-
crafted version of the initial assessment task - with the supervision of the facilitator)
3. Developing the Agility, Inventiveness and Resolve to attempt and/or complete an extended assessment task.

Science Enrichment Learning Activities to Learn & Develop Future-Ready Learning-Thinking Skills
(Using Hands-on Activities)
1. This is the core programme of the IPOS Trademark "A.I.R3.®" ", which stands for "Agility, Innovation, Resolve" with
"Resolve" covering the 3 R's of "Reflect, Recovery, Resilience".
2. The aim is to introduce Divergent Learning and Convergent Thinking Approaches, Strategies and Skills to Parents and
Students through engaging hands-on Science and STEM Learning activities.
3. Activities involve the use of simple everyday materials, objects and events in activities that will highlight the
importance of work-life values and skills, especially in the development of the following mindsets: Agility,
Innovation, and Resolve
1. Parents and students can strengthen their parent-child bonding while working on these activities.
2. Parents will be better informed about the new School Science Curriculum and better prepared to support their
children in their learning of science / STEM in school.
3. Students will be able to identify the various elements of science learning while working on these activities - namely,
(MoE, 2023, INquiry, INnovation, INspiration, and the Practices of Science, specifically, Ways of Thinking and Doing
Science).

Science Enrichment Learning Activities to Introduce Research, Development & Innovation
(Applying Curricular Concepts & Skills)
1. To support student learning of school science concepts, content knowledge and process skills (especially in the 3IN's).
2. To introduce to students what is Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) using school science learning activities.
3. To help students start and proceed with their school science investigative projects (formal or informal assignments)
1. School teachers and students will be better informed about what is Research, Development and Innovation and how
these areas may be related to their roles and aspiration in teaching and learning science
2. Students will learn the basic research and development approaches that may help them better understand the
authentic ones practised in some industries.
3. PD sessions will help school teachers better guide their students in relating school science learning experiences to
their further learning and career prospects in the STEM / STEAM Industries.
